Ho’oilo House COVID19 Safety Measures

  • Check-ins will be no-contact for the time being. Each guest will be sent self check-in instructions prior to arrival.
  • Our breakfast buffet is on hold. Guests will be asked to fill out an order form the night before, your breakfast tray will be prepared and ready for pick up in the common area at your chosen time (between 8-10am). Guests are welcome to enjoy breakfast in-room, at the safely distanced dining tables in the common area, or poolside.
  • Touch points are sanitized often, and hand sanitizer will be available in the common area.
  • To limit contact exposure, we will not be offering daily room cleaning but will be deep cleaning between bookings. Fresh towels and linens may be requested at any time (as can daily housekeeping service). Rooms will be cleaned with sanitizing disinfectant.
  • An electrostatic sprayer will be used regularly in common areas and when deep cleaning guest rooms.
  • Staff wear masks while cleaning and in the indoor common areas. Guests are asked to wear masks in the indoor common areas.
  • Guests who are feeling unwell will be asked to communicate with one of us immediately. Potential COVID-19 cases will be asked to follow guidelines set forth by the CDC, HLTA and Hawaii State Department of Health.

COVID Update – 25 September 2020

The Governor of Hawaii announced that the pre-arrival test option to avoid quarantine will launch 15 October 2020. The state plan and implementation for October are still being fully developed. COVID Update – 18 August 2020

The Governor of Hawaii pushed the pre-arrival test option to avoid quarantine to 1 October 2020. All island arrivals during the month of September will be subject to the 14 day quarantine. As of 1 August 2020, travelers to Hawaii will be able to avoid the 14 day quarantine by presenting a negative COVID test result at the airport. Travelers without the test result will still be subject to the 14 day quarantine.
