Chocolate, Lavender, Vodka…oh my!

Where we once were known for Pineapple and Sugar, now we have small niche providers popping up around the island and supplying us with local treats! Things like coffee, beer, chocolate, all things lavender, vodka…the list goes on. And yes, we have favorites to share.

CHOCOLATE

Ku’ia Estate Chocolate

Delicious. Bottom line. Amazing local treats. Amy loves dark chocolate and they know how to do it right. They also have a dark milk version for those that find dark a little too strong. Favorites include the blood orange, peppermint, and mango. YUM! (Currently in restricted access area, but shipping orders.)

BEER

Maui Brewing

The original local brew. They have a restaurant in West Maui, and the brewery with tasting room and restaurant in Kihei. Favorites include Coconut Porter and Pineapple Mana Wheat.

Waikiki Brewing

Visit this brewery at Shops at Wailea. Favorites include Black Strap Molasses Porter, Hana Hou Hefe, and Jalepeno Mouth – which pairs really nicely with the giant pretzel appetizer.

Kohola Brewery

Visit this relocated Lahaina brewery at Wailea Village. Favorites include Lokahi Pilsner and Lahaina Haze.

COFFEE

MauiGrown Coffee

A favorite for many years and the coffee we serve daily at Ho’oilo House, we can’t recommend this coffee more! (Devastated by fire, we will update when and where coffee is available for purchase.)

O’o Farm Coffee

Take drive Up Country for a tour, breakfast, and coffee sampling.

BadAss Coffee

From the Big Island, but always a Maui staple. There are several BadAss coffee shops around the island.

LAVENDER

Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm

Come here for all things lavender – our favorites include the lavender scones and lavender honey.

BOOZE

Ocean Vodka

Enjoy premium vodka and tour the distillery.  It’s perfect for martinis.  Ocean also makes Deep Island Hawaiian Rum – perfect for Mai Tais.

Hali’imaile Distillers

Local distiller offering Vodka, Rum, Whiskey, and Gin – try it all!

Maui Wine

Enjoy a variety of delicious wines, including a couple of our personal favorites: Lokelani Sparkling Rosé and Ulupalakua Syrah. Enjoy!
