Ho'oilo House. If you really want to treat yourself to a luxurious getaway, spend a few nights at this Bali-inspired B&B. In the foothills of the West Maui Mountains, just south of Lahaina town, this stunning property brings the words "quiet perfection" to mind. As you enter the house your eye is immediately drawn to the immense glass doors that open up onto a small but sparkling pool and a breathtaking view of the Pacific. Almost all of the furnishings and the materials used to build the house were imported from Bali, giving the house a peaceful, Zen-like quality. Two "conversation tables" in the common area are filled with Balinese cushions, providing great spots to snack, chat, or just relax. Each room is uniquely decorated and features traditional Balinese doors with Mother of Pearl inlay, a custom bed, a private lanai, a huge bathroom with a giant bathtub, and best of all - a private outdoor shower.
